Colorado Grouse Tours operates out of Hayden in Routt County and guides small-group tours to Sharp-tailed Grouse, Greater Sage-Grouse, and Dusky Grouse leks on private ranchland from mid-March through mid-May. Guide and wildlife biologist Jeremiah Psiropoulos leads guests into heated photo blinds before sunrise to watch the grouse perform their spring lekking dances. After the lek, tours continue on to look for Sandhill Cranes, raptors, and early songbirds. Groups are capped at four guests. Custom birding tours are also available year-round by request.
