Hood River Fruit Loop
Self-guided orchard and farmstand drive
Hood River, OR | active | 2 to 4 hours

This volunteer-powered nonprofit grooms 24 kilometers of cross-country trails on Mount Hood, ranging from flat and easy to challenging hills with turns, tracked for both skate and classic skiing. Serving Mt. Hood skiers since 1979, it operates under a Forest Service permit with no public funding. The heated Ray Garey Cabin is a place to warm up, stash gear, eat lunch and meet other skiers. Depending on snowpack, the season usually runs November through May. Note that snowshoes and dogs are not allowed on the trails, and a Sno-Park permit is required.
