Lori started this certified-organic family farm in 2008 around a stand of 40-year-old cherry trees she could not bear to remove. Today you climb the supplied ladders to pick organic Bing, Rainier, and pie cherries from mid-June, then return in mid-September for Honeycrisp and Gala apples. It is built for a slow day out: a petting zoo with goats, pigs, and an alpaca, picnic tables scattered through the orchard, and double-mountain views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Certified by Oregon Tilth, the farm draws pickers from Portland to Bend. Bring a blanket, pack a lunch, and plan to pack out whatever you bring in.
