Hood River Fruit Loop
Self-guided orchard and farmstand drive
Hood River, OR | leisure | 1 to 2 hours

A certified organic farm in the Odell countryside, growing acres of lavender that get steam-distilled on site into pure essential oil for soaps, perfume, culinary goods and dried bundles. There is no charge to roam the rows, breathe in the scent, or just sit a spell among the purple. From late June through September the U-Pick opens, and you can stuff as much lavender as fits in a cable tie into a single bouquet. A seasonal gift shop stocks the full product line, and the family has worked this land since 2003.
