Open since 1923, this is the oldest course in Hood River, with a front nine laid out by famed architect H. Chandler Egan and a relaxed stroll framed by Mt. Hood in the distance. The back nine, added in 1995, climbs into the trees on the upper side of the 300-acre property for views across vineyards and orchards. Greens fees stay refreshingly affordable, with junior, twilight and rainy-day rates and carts available. After the round, Tabby's Hole In One Clubhouse, Bar & Grill and a Phelps Creek tasting room pour refreshment with the same sweeping scenery.
