The community history center for Cascade Locks since 1964, housed near a historic lock tender's home on the Columbia. Its centerpiece is the Oregon Pony, the first steam locomotive used in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by exhibits on river navigation, the canal locks and life in the Gorge. A rotating exhibit marks 100 years of the Bridge of the Gods, and an online collection lets you browse beyond the galleries. Small, walkable and steps from the riverfront, it pairs naturally with a stop along the historic waterfront.
