Hood River Fruit Loop
Self-guided orchard and farmstand drive
Hood River, OR | active | 1 to 6 hours

From a shop near the mouth of Herman Creek, e-bikes and cruisers head out onto the car-free Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail, where waterfalls, panoramic vistas and stone viaducts line the route. Self-guided tours arrive with a map and detailed directions, so you set the pace. The family-friendly Waterfalls & Waterfront ride reaches four falls and a secluded swimming hole in about three hours; longer options cross the Bridge of the Gods or push 30-plus miles to Multnomah Falls. Hourly rentals, child seats, trailers and full-suspension mountain bikes round out the lineup.
