Wild Rose on NW Oregon Avenue is Central Oregon's most serious Thai kitchen — a restaurant built on multi-generational family recipes from Chiang Mai, not the Americanized Thai food found elsewhere. Expect Northern Thai specialties that rarely appear on restaurant menus: papaya salad, crispy rice croquettes, and a rotating array of flavorful stir-fries and soups that capture the region's complex herb-driven cooking. Pad thai is not on the menu — intentionally. Open Sunday through Thursday 11am to 8:30pm, Friday and Saturday to 9:30pm. Dinner reservations are accepted; lunch is first-come.
