Captain Curt's Crab & Oyster Bar at 1200 Old Stickney Point Road has been a Siesta Key Village landmark since 1979, built around world-famous clam chowder that won the Great Chowder Cook-off International Competition in Newport, Rhode Island. The menu covers fresh raw oysters, crabs, crab cakes, ribs, burgers, and wings alongside the chowder that started it all, with a full bar running real-fruit daiquiris, tropical drinks, and local craft beer. A casual family atmosphere, 11am–10:30pm hours seven days a week, and a reputation strong enough to survive four decades of competition make Captain Curt's one of the few restaurants on Siesta Key.
