Wanoga Sno-Park, 15.5 miles west of Bend on Century Drive, is Central Oregon's most welcoming winter playground for beginners and families. Gentle terrain with beginner Nordic ski and snowshoe loops makes it ideal for first-timers, and it's one of the only sno-parks in the area where dogs are welcome off-leash. Sledding and snowplay are popular on the flat, open areas near the staging lot. The park's proximity to Mt. Bachelor makes it a convenient stop for those who want a low-key snowy outing without committing to lift tickets. An Oregon Sno-Park permit is required.
