The area is popular for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobile use, with ungroomed routes through lodgepole pine forest toward Three Creeks Lake. Oregon Sno-Park permits are required and available at Sisters-area vendors. The drive along Three Creeks Road in winter is itself scenic, passing through snow-draped forest with periodic Cascade viewpoints. Bring a trail map and be prepared for variable snow conditions.
