National Museum of Wildlife Art

The National Museum of Wildlife Art sits on a butte 2.5 miles north of the Town Square at 2820 Rungius Road, overlooking the National Elk Refuge — a setting as compelling as the collection inside. The museum houses over 5,000 works spanning 200 years of wildlife and nature art, including works by Carl Rungius, Georgia O'Keeffe, and John James Audubon. Adult admission is $18; children ages 5–18 are $8; under 5 are free. Summer hours (May 1–Oct 31): open daily 10am–5pm. Blue Star Museum — free admission for active military and families. The Palate restaurant offers lunch with Elk Refuge views.
