On Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat, Yampa Sandwich Company is a locally owned deli built for fueling trail days and quick lunches. More than 20 stacked sandwiches rotate through the board, from the Ridgeline and Turkey Trailhead to the Chicken Caprese, plus house soups, salads, and a build-your-own option with vegetarian and gluten-free picks. Founders Peter Boniface and David Pepin started the shop in 1999 as high-school friends turned backcountry-ski partners, and renamed it in 2019 after the Yampa River.
