WE LOVE FOOD. For us, food is life and happiness, so having the opportunity to share the food that Lisa has been creating for years is meaningful to us. It is exciting to bring our establishment to the community at the iconic FOOD sign in Benton Harbor. Lisa has over 30 years of restaurant experience, and nothing makes her more pleased than people enjoying her food. A recipient of her culinary creativity for years, Richard, a car designer by trade, is the creative force behind the eatery design and atmosphere. We hope our eatery is a place for not only good food but conversation, comfort, and fun. Speaking of fun, why the name Happy Poochie? Our grandson penned Poochie as Lisa’s name early on, so what could be better than making people happy with Poochie’s food!
