Vail Powder Guides is the only USFS-permitted guided snowcat skiing outfitter on Vail Pass, run by Ben and Jenna Bartosz since the 2006-2007 season. The operation covers 4,000 acres — open bowls, treed glades, and steeper tight tree skiing on all aspects. A full day typically delivers 10 to 12 powder runs averaging 1,000 vertical feet each. Powder-specific ski or snowboard rentals are included in the full-day rate, as is a guided lunch in the backcountry. Intermediate-to-expert ability required. Ben brings 29 years and Jenna 20 years of snowcat skiing experience on Vail Pass.
