Carter Park sits four blocks east of Main Street at the south end of High Street, right behind downtown Breckenridge. In winter the park's sledding hill is one of the most popular free things to do in town, with a heated pavilion, gas fireplace, large gas grill, and heated public restrooms. Summer brings four hard tennis courts, lined pickleball courts with provided equipment, sand volleyball, a recreation field, and a renovated public dog park. The pavilion rents for weddings and private events. Bring a headlamp for evening sledding.
