Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter

The Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter protects 1,200 acres of wetland, meadow, and riparian habitat at the entrance to Park City. The LEED Platinum-certified EcoCenter is free to visit and features exhibits on local ecology, a four-story wildlife observation tower, and a 400-foot pier extending over the preserve. Guided nature tours, snowshoe rentals in winter, a climbing wall, Sunday crafts, and a pollinator garden round out the experience. Birdwatchers should bring binoculars—sandhill cranes, herons, and hundreds of species pass through seasonally. Admission is free with a suggested $5 donation per person.
