Sawmill Exhibit

The Breckenridge Sawmill Exhibit is a free self-guided outdoor site at the corner of Boreas Pass and Monroe Road. Before sawmills arrived, the mining camp was all log cabins, and the site shows how the transition to framed churches, schools, hotels, and fraternal halls helped Breckenridge grow into a town. Authentic sawmill equipment is grouped with QR-code interpretive signs that point visitors to stories about each piece. The exhibit opens year-round during daylight hours, weather permitting. A handful of designated parking spaces are on site; no restrooms.
