The Sarasota Ski-A-Rees is a nonprofit water ski show team that has performed free public shows at City Island near Mote Marine since the 1940s. The themed one-hour performances feature pyramid formations, jump tricks, barefoot skiing, ballet lines, doubles, trios, and swivel routines that showcase the full range of competitive water skiing. Shows are held select Sundays at 2pm from February through May and in October. Bleacher seating is provided, but bringing your own lawn chair is recommended. Free parking and snacks are available on-site.
