Big Cat Habitat Conservation & Education Center is a nonprofit sanctuary east of Sarasota that rescues and provides lifetime care for lions, tigers, leopards, bears, and a rotating roster of other exotic animals. The center's educational mission is front and center on every visit: trained staff guide guests through exhibits, explaining conservation challenges and the rescue stories of each resident animal. Admission supports ongoing animal care and habitat maintenance. Open Wednesday through Sunday; active military and veterans always admitted free.
