Duffy's Tavern at 5808 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach opened in 1958 and has been family-owned and operated for over four decades by former Holmes Beach mayor Pat Geyer and her five daughters. USA Today named Duffy's one of the country's top 'hamburger heavens' — the burger is made from freshly ground beef, served all the way with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo, and available in a rotating cast of variations including Mushroom and Swiss, Tex Burger, and Brie and Caramelized Onion. Homemade coleslaw and potato salad complete the experience. Closed Tuesdays. A true island institution.
