Save Our Seabirds is a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary on Ken Thompson Parkway in Sarasota, just minutes from the beaches of Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key. A public birdwalk showcases more than 100 resident non-releasable birds — pelicans, herons, egrets, owls, osprey, and many species unable to survive in the wild. Admission is always free, and visitors walk among the birds as trained staff and volunteers manage active rehabilitation cases. A meaningful stop for families, bird enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to understand the work of coastal wildlife conservation firsthand.
